In november 2000 it suddenly did RASH - and the timing belt was off with all the evil follow. After some hospital stays and significant health problems, Moby Dick's repair began in May 2002. A (allegedly) competent audio mechanic was found to rebuild the engine under my direction. all aggregates have been overhauled and saved to nothing.
The result was all the more devastating: an unreasonable run and almost no performance. so again and again the timing belt checked - no error. Meanwhile, the candles of the left cylinder bench became very worn out, which caused the bad run.
the mechanic got away from the acker ("I don't know, tap the old hut!") and I was alone.
The turning point was a visit to the factory of the Swarovski factory in Wattens/tirol. the mechanic there, hr. Mayer had located the problem immediately:
my audioman had installed the outlet shaft around a tooth when mounting the cam waves (= too late), so that instead of fresh gas incinerator residues were sucked in !!
Almost four years without my battleship, because of such stupidity !!
But now I'm alive again.
nice greetings to all fanatics !!
