just bought ona of your (and mine to be I hope) favourit cars. Have only got like a few problems with it... first i need to change some lightbulbs in the interior...
My lamp behind the gasoline gauge is broken.. anyone got any tricks for changing that one?
than the one lighting up wich gear is is (down by the shifter) is broken as well... where the f-ck is it located... tried to find it today but... here I am...
then I have the anoying fault that up on the dashboard all of the lights that says which gear is in (tha car is an automatic) lights at the same time and all of the time... quite anoying... anyone got any tricks for that?
last but not least... the thermostat needs to be changed... looked in the FAQ and found the guidance... the only trouble is I cant even find it on the engine... anyone got any better pic´s... beginning to suspect that the engine shown in the FAQ is a 4.2 litre... mine Is a 3.6´er... could that be it? otherwise.. just tell me where it is...

help on how to replace dashboard bulbs can be found in the english Talk under How to replace Instrument panel lights?
The bulb at the gearshift is very well hidden. According to some postings here in the forum I would forget about it. It seems that an engine replacement is easier.
If all lights of the gear display in the dashboard are lit then your gearbox should be in emergency state, which means you can drive in the 3rd gear only. Is that the case? Yes: have the fault codes of the gear unit read out. No: must be an electrical fault.
Thermostat: Dunno exactly, somewhere on top between the Cylinder banks.

Hi Martin,
As regards your gearbox, I have had the same thing happen. The cause there was gearbox oil leaking out through the powersteering pump.
As I drove along, the oil would gradually disappear and subsequently the level of oil would be too low. The lights all came on on the dash, resulting in no gearchange. A top up of oil fixed the problem immediately.
I have since had the powersteering pump overhauled of course. Cost : 250 Euros. Cost new (so I was told by the mechanic anyways) 600 POUNDS !!
