I have a big problem with my 4.2 V8 automatic from 92. I've got a week now. Where I bought it, everything was fine. And from the old one where you still kick the engine where it's still cold, I'm already out. ;-) That means I'm driving normally. After all, I want to have something of Him for a long time... Yesterday I repaired some small things and had to find out that the cooling water tank is full of oil sludge! I looked right in there before I bought the car! Everything was still fine. Even after a test drive. Nothing to see. And yesterday, the hammer. There is nothing to see in the oil cycle. He's gonna be okay. Now the question: Is the head seal really broken? How can I find out which page this is? Or does the head crack? The whole block also hangs quite full of oil, which drips regularly down on the trouser tube and therefore stinks. It's not much, but you smell. After I replaced the 2 crankcases of ventilating hoses where huge holes were in it, I thought now is closing with the oil loss... But I think there's more to it. I'm so disappointed, but I don't know what to do anymore...
The gearbox is also causing problems to all of this! I feel that because the car is sometimes simply jerking and you notice something "braking" that is randomly only a wheel being braked somehow. Do I have something like an electronic differential lock or something? What can that be? Next thing I know, I'm gonna change the gear oil and the sieve. I hope it'll be better...
Does anyone know these problems? Or has anyone ever had such a problem? Who can help me? I don't want to sell the car again or give it away. I like him so much...
Greetings, the desperate Heiko ;-(
