Hallo zusammen, ich habe vor kurzem zwei el. anklapp- und abblendbare Aussenspiegel eines A8 erworben. Der Vogel hat aber natürlich auf der Fahrerseite ein Glas vom Facelift-Modell (das mit der spitzeren Ecke) beigelegt, welches natürlich nicht in die alte spiegelaufnahme passt. Die Aufnahme der Stellmotoren ist OK, scheitert also nur an der Kappe. Kann man die alte Kappe gegen die neuere vom Facelift-Modell austauschen? Kommt wahrscheinlich billiger als ein neues Spiegelglas (abblenbar …

Hello, everybody.

I recently have two el. folding and glareable exterior mirrors of an A8 acquired. The bird, of course, has provided a glass of the facelift model (the one with the sharper corner) on the driver's side, which of course does not fit into the old mirror image. The recording of the actuators is OK, so only the cap fails.
Can you replace the old cap with the newer one from the Facelift model? Probably comes cheaper than a new mirror glass (can be dipped, heated, aspherical).
