Distance counter/on-board computer/tempomat

Hi, guys!

My 92er 4.2 wants to count from time to time the total kilometers and the daily kilometers no more. Sometimes a slap on the dashboard helps and it counts on for a while. Sometimes, however, I have to strike so hard that I am afraid to trigger the airbag. In addition, the cruise control only goes sporadic and the on-board computer shows a whirling glow of all display segments and it is a surreptitious/cracking behind the switchboard to hear what almost sounds like a short circuit.
Does anyone have a proposal to remedy the situation that does not exceed the time value of the car ;-)

Welcome
Clemi

P.S.:
It's my second V8. The first was a 3.6 (for 2 years). The 4.2 is a completely different car. Finally you can also feel the PS that are on the paper (since 3.5 years). This also means that the additional consumption of approx. 2.5L all right.

Lose eher nicht!
Lötstelle oder schlechter Kontakt an einer Steckverbindung!
Das aber finden ist ziemlich schwierig!

Hi,

Bastian
