Valve damage=V8 disease? The drama goes on...

Hello dear V8 community!

Perhaps some of you still remember my "Ventildamash=Sickness at the 4.2er?" thread that I posted at the end of last year.

The valve had been burned and had been used here for possible causes. This is a very important aspect of the programme.

Meanwhile, my screwdriver friends and one of them have made my little ones run again. I re-made the defective valve, all the seals and the piston rings. In addition, the heads are freed from the oil coal and the channels are polished. And if you have everything apart, you can also install sharper camshafts and a K&N air filter. It should be worth it .
We definitely brought him back to life, and he ran like one!

Mind you, LIEF! After 1700 km the screw, which holds the pulley on the crankshaft, has dissolved. The result of this was a skipped timing belt. I still had the hope that nothing bigger is broken, because the engine just went out. No big cracking or jerking. But after we finally set everything back to normal (crank and cam shafts on OT) and tightened and glued the screw bomb-proof, he still did not run. Compression measured - NO COMPRESSION on ALL paws!

Well, what is it? Has any of you ever had anything similar? We suspect that the inlet valves
They're all bent. Since the engine can be rotated easily and smoothly with the starter (you don't know better) something has given in. Because the heads aren't down yet, I don't definitely know what's in the ass. Do I have to expect to have a hole in the piston? But that's what you have to notice when you drive when it happens, right? And if really valves are bent, do I have to expect that the guides or heads have noticed?
If someone has experience, please post!

Well, I'll get new heads, you never know...

Schrick still offers high-performance valves for the old Audi four-valve fans, the same as they used to be used in rally sports. And since the valves in the 20V are the same as in the V8, they should fit easily.
It costs a rod of money (23 teurons + 16% per piece), but if the things are more heat-resistant and lighter than the series valves, they don't burn away and bring even better performance.
Would you recommend these valves to me, or should I just take serial valves from a slaughtered one again?

And I wanted to take up the oil consumption issue again! The 1700 km, which my little one ran again after the "reconstruction", I had no measurable oil consumption (before 2l / 1000km). New piston rings are still worth it - despite the Nikasil thing (merely EZ 11/91)!

Well, look forward to your opinions/experiences/stimulations. Thank you in advance already!

Greetings from lip

Hi Uwe,
