Moin together,

I have been owner of an A8 D3 4.0 TDI (ASE engine) from 2004 for a few days.

I didn't take the car ready to drive, so I don't want him to jump on it anymore. After some checks and inspection I managed to start over. Right on the first test drive, I had the flashing incandescent in the speedometer and suddenly the engine was out again. But after the stop, let itself be started again.

The further troubleshooting was unsuccessful, however, and by now he is no longer interested. When I read out, I get 3 error messages that all point to the fuel supply. 17686 Fuel control valve ect... I once measured the voltage on the valve and I only got 5-6 V. Should it be 12V or is the valve controlled by the voltage? So 5V when starting okay? Or is it a cable break or a short circuit after plus or minus?

Hope to find help here, maybe someone also has another advice for me

Hallo Roland.

Händler fragen was er reparieren würde usw.
