I won the fight yesterday against a central screw at my Octavia. It cost me 2x 1/2 inches of rattling and a gag. The central screw (17er Inbus) could not move a piece, although I had flooded it several times with rust release. Also the attempt to make the screw hot with a burner brought nothing. And there I had a lever over two meters long.

Bisher gab es noch keine Schraube, welcher meiner 1" Ratsche mit 1,5m Hebel widerstehen konnte.

Wie hast du die Welle gesperrt?

Zwischenzeitlich hatte ich auch schon im Internet nach etwas stabileren gesucht. 1" Gelenkschlüssel konnte ich finden und das sogar halbwegs Preiswert, nur eine 1" Nuss mit 17er Inbus konnte ich nicht finden. In 3/4 Zoll hatte ich was passendes gefunden, hatte aber Zweifel ob das reicht.

Da das Radlager eh im Arsch war Stand das Auto am Boden. Ich weis das man damit das Lager beschädigt.

Bremse treten und ne Schraube in der Nabe reicht auch.

Radlager die kaputt sind gehen nicht weiter kaputt, wobei das rum rollen ohne axiale Blockierung (Welle gezogen, keine Schraube drin) eher das Problem ist.

Zwei Schrauben in die Radnabe und die Bremsscheibe mit nem guten Schraubenzieher o. ä. gegen den Sattel sperren. Voraussetzung sind innenbelüftete Scheiben.
Braucht man keinen zweiten Mann und hat bisher immer geklappt.

Dann hattest Du Glück gehabt.
Diese Radnabenschraube kenne ich auch. Die knackt entweder gleich auf oder es dauert halt - was ein Ärger. Dann ist aber der Antriebskopf noch nicht raus. Im Werk hatten die das sehr gut gemeint.
