My Audi V8 40V Bj. 03 pulls exactly between 1700-2000Upm. Turn it right. You can also feel it in idle, as if there was a small imbalance. It is quite violent under load, e.g. with trailer, then right blows go through the drive train. As soon as 2000UpM is reached, it purrs smoothly.
Errors are not stored. The workshop is also baffled, or the exhaust was a bit leaky and since the problem occurred almost at the same time, they thought that it was together (slight air at the lambda probe). In fact, the cracking had become worse and worse, the greater the leakage.
==References== the leak was at the top of the cracker. Is it possible that when the hot exhaust gases are blown off from leaking, something has been damaged? However, the workshop had disassembled the engine in the area, that would have been noticed if there had been something toasted? (here the best shop in place, no backyard screwdriver !)
I can query and graphically display various values via computer diagnostics. What would you have to look for?
Must be a component that is only active in THIS speed range ???
