I've had this V8 3.6 1989 for six months. The car goes well but there are a few things I want to know about your opinion.
- at the start and cold engine it does not smoke out of the exhaust, please see the first photo. When the engine warms up and when it is warm, it smokes a lot, please see photo 2. The oil consumption is 1 liter at 1000 km. When I bought the car the smoke smelled very sharp and into the garage got man tears in the eyes. Since then, several errors have been fixed on the engine and it still squirts but the sharp scent is gone.
- The engine runs very quietly and pulls well while driving away and also while driving and then kicking fully on the gas but gives man while driving half gas then he is lazy and in my opinion does not go as he should. But the engine runs nicely round and has no dropouts or something.
- I find the fuel consumption high, in the city it is 26L/100Km, at 80Km per hour it needs 10L, at 100Km 11L at 120Km 12.5L and at 140Km 13.5L/100Km.
There is no error in the memory, spark plugs and labmda sensor are new, false air is fixed.
I thought of a broken temperature sensor on the cylinder head for the control of the motronic but with the cold engine the speed is so 900 u/min and when warm so 730 u/min, so I thought the temperature sensor i.o. must be.
Like your opinion, is this normal, right?
