a friend of mine has a golf two with the 1.3 MH engine...
The engine goes off immediately after the start in cold condition, if you don't keep it up with the accelerator pedal.
As soon as it's warm, it runs empty, so at least it won't run out. But you can clearly hear that he's got an ignition drop. Well, he's not running round.
Since the ignition cables, as well as the distributor cap and spark plugs looked like shit, I first made them NEW.
This has made it a little better. He doesn't go out immediately in cold condition, but fights a little longer. But it has also become easier to keep him alive with 1 or 2 gas nozzles.
Still, he's running idle. I've already tried to stop the ignition, but it's no use. I have also thought about simply increasing the idle speed, but even with slightly increased idle you can hear that he has dropouts.
If it's warm, it's a bit of an empty run, but it stays on.
I haven't changed the vacuum hoses yet. They all look like shit. Just can't get to the car today because it's on its way. That's why I'm just writing in here to do something

I'm writing this because I really don't know much about carburetors... Maybe somebody's got a ignition tip. I'm sure the gasifier flange seal is fine...
Or vll has someone just experience with the engine.
