Unfortunately, the commitment to the date in Magdeburg came from Meyle quite short-term. BUT:
The product manager and the service/sales manager came from Hamburg and showed honest interest.
At the meeting there were a total of 14 A8 different series.... MEYLE came with an S8 D2 FL in white and 18" Avus. With many conversations of different users (higher/lower/wider/V6/V8/W12/standard/badways/KW etc). The individual experiences were discussed. The material that was brought along became the basis for discussion and possible and not possible production routes were also discussed.
All in all a really successful performance. Since I had - as I have already described - exchanged the rigid coupling bars for which with joints of FEBI, they wanted to examine my axis exactly. The joint coupling rod was declared by the product manager as "immediately implemented" and that means that the next sentences then also MEYLE HD!!! We're going to get coupling rods with ball joints. The appointment could not be mentioned logically yet.
With my axle I had already from 10000 Km problems with the train struts (joints firmly) which were changed to kulanz. ==References== 15,000 km started the fight against strange vibrations in the vehicle whereupon I weighed the tires X-Mal (also on the vehicle), the axle shafts changed, the wheel bearings changed and because Hans-Jürgen had the same problem on the same vehicle, he even changed the cardan shaft and changed the rear axle differential. ALL EXCLUDING SUPPLY.
That it had to be the axis was obvious, but you couldn't find a game with the best will...... Some people probably remember the Ellenlange contributions here...
From 30,000 km everything became somehow soft and spongy.... now I have 70,000 Km down with it and the LINKE handlebar is visibly lashed down... So the big one bent with the giant rubber bearing. Remember: On the driver's side!!!
The boys then took pictures and documented this and will schedule a crisis meeting next week... Who would have thought that???? This is really a class that a manufacturer actually tries to satisfy the end customer!!!
I was thinking about Hans-Jürgen and he's about to get a visit from the product manager and maybe even from the Technical Director, because it's a second reference vehicle to mine.
In any case, the two of them had a lot of input and could also take a lot of photos. To reward them, of course, they were served with grilled goods and liquid bread units...

Now I'm looking forward to what's coming.
By the way, since September 2008 MEYLE gives 4 (four) years warranty on its axles of the HD series... So who still has problems with the things can contact MEYLE directly on the page www.meyle.com ->Contact and technology..... Everybody knows now!
That's enough for now....
