today I was in Budapest at a small v8 meeting, the car smoked tomorrow at the cold start quite (blue). When the engine got warm, did not smoke (much), of course is not a new car, consumes oil gladly, have the box for 7 years, last year got two ZKs from the AEC (S6) BJ95/96, because it has run on 7 Zyl. Sometimes grey smokes. But perhaps the lambda probe should be replaced soon, even the verb in the city became quite high in the last few thousand km (20).
So I drove up to the highway when I accelerated to 140 (cozy!) the car smoked incredible, real oil mist was behind it. I thought I'd go by another car, but after 6-8 km (10) smoking stopped. I noted that the oil that was collected in the exhaust system was burned out (with the crate driven in the last 3 weeks exclusively in the city). So I was in Budapest (travel speed 140-160) and then still in the countryside because of my renewed coilover suspension to my S4 and V8 parts etc.
So I drove 270 km. 35.6 liters of OMV Carrera were banished, i.e. the V8 built up 13-14 liters per 100 kjm, partly in traffic jams in Budapest. On the way home on the highway I drove 160 again, once it became quite more when I blew out the nose of a young gentleman at 330d.... (far 200+, the diesel drove damn guut). So, after the action again 160 and then already at home in the city it had found that the exhaust sounded deeper, except at the traffic light in idle mode it was stated that the machine was running quite unevenly.... She's V7 now. When driving off, smokes (color unknown, since it is evening), but when it is idle it is not so Trabbi-Stinkend (BlowBy) when it was exchange last year before the then ZK, and does not smoke.
But a sniffing noise comes from the engine, from the right cylinder bench, from the back. When it was then V7 (valve burned) the same cylinder was problematic. Tomorrow I will remove the candles, or check the oil cap, maybe the seal is burned (cooled water was not warm, as usual).
Can it be a blown-out valve, or a seal, or a broken candle? (I hope this one is not...) If the same cylinder is problematic again, can the hull engine have some problems (no wonder at this mileage...) ?
I have another AEC engine in my room
It would be wise to install it (engine identification no problem) perhaps the machine would burn less oil,...Another thought was that I could install a 40V engine (a known one has an ARS of the A6 4.2), but I don't know how to solve the electronics (single ignition, etc.) or whether a newer engine fits into the box (motor mounts, oil filter housings! etc.)
Does anyone have an idea?
Thank you in advance....
