I'm so happy about my RL, well, almost. The thing is simply too hot for me - and in the truest sense of the word, at 100°C he feels most comfortable.
The following observations:
*) Temp rises to approx. 100°C on (or slightly below)
*) At load or speeds > 140 km/h, he also likes to pass over it (approx. 110°C)
*) Viscolfan runs and is imho in order (at 100°C in the stand, the speed of the fan is noticeably high if you give gas easily)
*) With the cooler itself, the right side (as seen from the driver) is relatively warm - i.e.: hot, the left side is rather cooler, but more than just "hand warm" (I guess approx. 50-60°C)
*) I measured the following temperatures with the multimeter: valve cover left and right. exactly 90°C on the right (several measurements), water pump housing 90*C, between valve cover and. Timing belt cover (slim gap, 2cm deep, 98°C, exhaust air flow from the cooler by viscofan 60°C)
*) After the engine has run for 15 minutes (temp constant at the stroke over 90 --> 100°C), it is always short (approx. 30 sec) of the electric fan, probably started on stage 2 - It was clearly audible when the hood was closed, but not very loud. At the treasure ice in the AI imho has not changed much, vlt. Temp 1-2 has gone down.
*) Cooler water temperature directly I could not measure, as the container would have overflowed when opening up.
I have a right-hand handlebar AI, the nominal temp is given at 90°C, not like the left-hand handlebar 100°C (the fat stroke) - just for information.
What can you derive from the observations - is everything normal? what is broken (if possible, a comprehensive remote diagnosis
). Oh, yes, there's nothing in the bugstore. Thank you all,
IG Florian
