Since I'm about to slaughter my old V8 now I'm asked to expand the engine together with the gearbox or separately because when I think of the upper starter bolt alone I get the crisis. What makes more sense?

Ich bau es immer getrennt aus. erst den Motor raus, dann das getriebe. Die Anlasserschraueb ist gar nicht sooo schlimm. Mach den Motor von oben her auf der seite frei, dann siehst Du sie sogar, da wo die Getriebeentlüftung rauskommt. Allerdings mit dem Getriebe würd ich Dir empfehlen zu zweit und mit Getriebeheber. Komplett geht zwar auch, doch ist ein verdammt schweres Paket, das nicht jeder Motorkran packt.
