I would like to introduce myself here, as I bought a 4.2er about a month ago and have been reading here for some time.

First of all: hammer that there is this forum!

I am a (web) application developer, 20 years old and come from Switzerland and live at the Untersee.
To buy the rather unusual and unreasonable car for a 20-year-old, the look, the exclusivity and the car moved me among others. And probably also that I have been driving with my father's Audi 100 turbo many times since I got my driver's license, and I definitely wanted a car like that. Only were well preserved 100 turbo with the equipment I wanted practically not to find. I saw a V8 ad by chance. Out of pure curiosity I then researched how much the car will cost me in the maintenance. Since I am not dependent on the car during the week and do not do much kilometers, the calculated costs were far below what I had expected. Especially with the insurance costs I was quite surprised how cheap this is (doesn't probably give many at my age who drive a V8 :P).
And so I started looking for a V8, whether 3.6 or 4.2, didn't matter to me. Also, the machine didn't bother me. And so I came to my V8, and I don't give it so fast!

Well, it doesn't just have sunny sides when buying an 18-year-old car... When switching from D to 3, it usually breaks strongly from 3 to 2, but almost never, the BBS rims are pretty broken, the wheel bearings are probably through, the leather seats were not really maintained, the cruiser does not do anymore, the engine clacks (even who it is warm) and the front left the bumper is a little pressed in. Otherwise, everything works the way it should.
When I bought the V8 I made its preservation a task and a new hobby.
So as far as possible all original and changes in appearance are not possible for me.
Now a few more details about my V8:
180 000 km (Tacho has been replaced by 100 000 km according to the service booklet)
1. Marketing: 5.1992
Seat heating front
Electric seat adjustment in front with memory
4-speed automatic
Intensive cleaning system
The entry in the car DB follows again
