It's me again.
I'd like to ask a question to the suspension specialists among you.
For years, actually for almost 10 years, I have been dissatisfied with the driving behaviour of my Audi V8 especially at high speeds. 1 1/years ago I had a chassis survey for the 12 times and for the first time my car drove straight afterwards. It was also quite good at 240 on the highway. In short, it was the first time a pleasure to drive a car faster than 140 and not to get sweaty hands. This joy lasted until November last year and was caused by the "run over"
The result of my inattention at 60 km/h.2 destroyed rims,2 destroyed tires, aggregate beams bent, crossbars bent to the left, a cooling water hose torn by the left track rod(for the evaporator of the gas system) only that you are not surprised.
After I had called Frank Ziehm to get professional help, I changed a lot of things and after a further 2 times spuureinstellen the car drives straight again.:
Before I start, there's something on the sidelines. For years, I was sold the wrong stabilizers by Audi AG.(28mm.Stabi) But I found out by chance that the Stabis of the 4.2 series with automatic transmissions were changed to 26mm in the course of the series.
So now I describe my current chassis configuration here and call the faults.:
==References== bought 50 or 55's KAW springs front, serial springs!! rear, conic damper all around, Koni front open, rear one turn turned on, new front crossbar, Stabilager approx 6000km old, all fittings new and tightened with correct torque, soon new rear crossbar (Meyle), 245/40/17 tires, replaced racks. If the question comes up, I was after changing the parts beem Tüv shock absorbers bring 95%, game in the chassis/ bushing ect. not identifiable.
Now to my problem: My Audi is extremely prone to side wind, despite a perfectly inserted track and fall, it "pulls" at the front and back to the right and runs very restless from speed 150.
Please tell me: What makes it possible to install a 28-piece Stabi, what would it do (especially at high speeds) if I turned the Konis all or half-turned, Is my spring combination technically possible at all, why can no longer be optimally adjusted despite the changed parts of the fall at the front, but only within the tolerance? By the way, I didn't change the feathers in the back because I didn't want a "hanging" back. The way it is now, the body is in Libra.Something else. My steering is extremely smooth and that is definitely not a speed-dependent power steering. It would be very nice if you would help me with my problem. Tells me how your series!eight on the highway.
Thank you very much Martin
