Yesterday it was finally time, I bought an Audi 100 S4 with 4.2 V8 (ABH).
A few quirks has the good piece but the price was great, the seller a really great guy (Timo, if you read this, tell yourself!).
Return ~500km at 10.5l at 100km, that's what I imagined. Speed 120-140km/h with cruise control.
So now to the problems *ggg*
When I was a bit of a baller, the engine went out suddenly.
The previous owner had already told me this, probably speed/OT sensor.
When the car was standing, I had to go about. Wait a minute, then he went "hard" again.
I was reminded of steam bubbles in the fuel line. Weak gas pump.
But what do the V8 experts say?
Speeding up quickly was/is not a problem, only if you aim for a higher travel speed it probably occurs. Had the mistake first.
Now some will say forum search, yes I used. However, there is talk of cooling for 10-20 minutes.
I was standing on the stand for ~1 minute until he started again.
Reversible speedometer has displayed something all the time (as long as the gear was in).
With Audi, every sensor costs ~100 euros, I have found some in the accessories for far less. From VW I know the stitch a part 20 car's but everywhere a different number

The only thing that bothers me at the moment, I have the feeling one/the gear bearings have become soft.
If I switch quickly or if I switch quickly. Gase and then take the foot down I feel in the shift knob as a resistance builds up, as the knob e.g. Move forward.
I have already read a lot about the rear diff bearing.
At the strong speed up in low gears I mean to hear it there "smack", but can this also deceive and it is/are the front bearings?!
Checking that in itself is no problem, but how "straff" are the camps if they are ok? Well, I'm gonna lay under it later, maybe there's just scraps left and the question is unnecessary.
Oh yes, oil consumption should probably be at 1.5l on 1000km, he does not smoke (as far as I can judge) but you judge the burned oil already when after the distance around the car runs.
A few more words to me, I'm Dipl. Ing. (FH) for automotive technology, I'm 26 years old. So far, I've screwed to Fiat Uno's. As a fun car, I'm building around my Uno Turbo again.
Since there is often a lack of spare parts supply, drive a Italo ... *g* (I hope you can say here that there are other car brands that are fun).
greetings
Martin
