Actually, I just wanted to have track and fall adjusted by the permanently grappling atu mechanic...because he didn't make it because a track rod like that gets stuck sometimes, he at least infected my car to the end of the day...
How did that happen? Since the track rods on my cart were not "pre-empted" and did not turn straight away, everything was immediately warmed up with the welding torch. No not warmed it was made almost glowing *attack*
Well that worked out 2 times quite well so only at the front right wanted the track rod simply not to be set far enough. So warm up and that again and again, more and more and longer... stupid only that the rubber between the wheelhouse and engine compartment lit a little bit and ignited itself at once.
A small match of flame... should you get it right...but not worth a mechanic. In the calm he hoarded a rag to suffocate it, which of course did not work because the rubber started to burn because of the heat itself. My inquiry for a fire extinguisher was ignored and further with more rags trying to suffocate the flame which became ever larger. Only when a loud bang gave which came from the burned-out hose of the autogas plant he became somewhat more heckier. I was allowed to open the bonnet and saw a nice flame coming up behind the ignition distributor...and was suddenly alone...so I was still hearing the car burning down MY fire extinguisher from the car...put him down 1 sec. one and everything was good...shortly after that came the "firecracker" with an almost empty water bucket again...then I really wonder if they have no fire extinguishers at atu...or are they all in the sales room???
So now the obvious and clearly smellable damage was talked small and the problem was the white powder in the engine compartment and not the torched cables, hoses, electric components of the gas system. After I pointed out that the paint of the hood was over, he finally hoarded his boss. This was at least very kulant and unproblematic. Damage will be compensated, car hire will be made, but it will take just because you have to order the parts and runorganise them. I'm talking about two weeks already.
I'm curious if everything works smoothly.
And I'm especially happy about something... that I bought a fire extinguisher because of regulations abroad...otherwise my beloved V8 would be over now.
At least something good about the messed up thing...
