You might want some advice.
My red glitter (Passat 35i Variant, 1.8l, 240.000km) will only make the next TÜV with a few money ... ==References== 1200 € necessary:
- both front springs were broken (made only before 40,000km *grmbl* how can that be)
- Head gasket/water pump (is constantly getting too hot.... ==References== 105°C)
- brake lines COMPLETE
- front support joints
- Steering cuffs complete
- Holes in the underbody, sills... ==References== 15 of the number
But now my real concern: new car.
I find the Passat 3B with the 1.8T [150 hp] and syncro a great car, built in 1998-2000.
The same engine can also be found in the Audi A4 Avant ... either it should be a later B5 or an earlier B6.
Who has experience with these cars or cars? This engine?? How about driving noise, consumption, known Macken and 'problem zones. What is the durability? What should you pay special attention to when buying?
I am particularly interested in the electrical side (problems...) as well as the corrosion protection, rust I already have enough on the 35i and V8

Also, wer was weiß kann es zum Besten geben!!!
