Audi V8 bought with supposedly broken radio (music only comes when the radio has run "warm" and then only miserable, but usually you only hear a whistle), so new radio with 4x line-out, and thus compatible with the Bose system, bought. Connected, does not do much, so read Bose boards broken, gives for 175€ four new or spare parts for approx. 110€ to overtake the boards.
Since I have learned electronics engineers and I was tempted to do the job (and you can even save a little money with DIY) I ordered the components, I am nevertheless RS-Components customer where there is an orderlist for in the FAQ.
So then all four boards are removed, for the rear extra 8er ratchet key bought, because of the self-securing nuts..., for the front I have a tip, a 6.5er nut is actually in hardly a ratchet box, but a bit insert is 6.5mm, so simply took a bit holder without bit, fits
Then it started out, m m son crap double-sided equipped boards, can always be worked hard with the normal soldering station, but just no hot air station at hand, no matter only 8h later I was finished with all four boards (after the first 30min of the 8h I had it already bitterly regretted not simply to have ordered new boards).
The next morning, all the boards will be installed.
three work, out the door comes only a very loud whistle!!
I didn't regret having bought any new boards, because I thought that there was still an IC preamp on the board, and that's not a spare part or you screwed up when you soldered...
So bitten in the sour apple and ordered for the front new boards at Audi, the construction site finally wants to close, since you drive a new car all the time with an outside torn disguise, there is the fun already when getting in...
Board installed at the front right, and stupid as I was right back on the door, I couldn't do test run, because I forgot the new radio at home and installed the boards at a friend's workshop. But what should go wrong now?!?!?
I'll tell you, this morning the radio was installed (was already cost me 5h before for the search for the Zündplus) and see there no more whiff with the brand new boards, but funny somehow no sound comes out! Get more gray hair, eyelid shakes, didn't I put the plug together yesterday? So, back off the door cover, funny plug is stuck together. Plugs measured, 12V are there. Perhaps the whistle has destroyed the speaker, measured through it, but still looks completely, for safety the old board again made, whistles still, so the second brand new board tried, does not come again nothing. What is this? I got two defective boards from Bose/Audi - Unlikely, so I'm testing the part on a rear speaker (it's easier to get to the plug than to tear the door apart again on the driver's side. Again, there is no sound with the new boards) What is that??? But both boards are broken?
Please help me before I get mad.
