So, now the third attempt. When we had the first engine damage, an original Audi spark plug was to blame. She dropped the electrode and unfortunately destroyed the coating in the cylinder.
So used hull worried, heads worked, new straps laid on, tax times checked most carefully and it was all ok. Car was running top, except for a ignition cable that hit the ground. So let new cables come from a dealer from Berlin ( 235,-Euro ) and built in. At first everything seemed OK. Power there. ==References== 20-25 hp more than before. )
On the trip to Holland then Ruckeln and Ruckeln.
Nothing unusual from the engine compartment except a ticking from the right cylinder bench in the direction of travel.
Result: A ignition cable defective ( from the new ones )
Until we were back in Germany, the engine was gone. The spark plug was shot out of the head. Reasons for this like via PN.
So let's do a new one.
Engine's worried. New belt on it and the injection of the engine took over.
First start, engine is running, but after warm-up phase, the stationary gas stopped at 2000min/-1 and the engine was jerking strongly.
Intake air temperature probes are replaced and new poti installed. LLRV as well. See there, engine runs at 750min/-1.
Sporadically, but there. In the case of the first three years of the project, the
At first I thought that the tumbling was not reproducible, since there was no tumbling with slow acceleration. Top speed was also OK.
BUT when you hit the 6th at 50km/h. Aisle set in and gave full throttle, the jerking was there again and above all reproducible.
Mixture adjustment sporadically additive and multiplicative was in error memory.
So the injection strip completely replaced. No improvement.
Petrol pressure regulator replaced. No improvement.
Spark plugs switched. No improvement.
Power stages and ignition coils exchanged. No improvement. Distributors switched. No improvement.
LMM measured and exchanged. No improvement.
So all the ignition cables out and others in. Look! No twitching, no twitching.
By the way, I found it strange: With the exchange motor, my temperature display in the instrument panel was no longer working. According to Rep.guide, the sensor should sit at the front of the left cylinder. Only this is not responsible for the display, as in the RLT, but for the Motronic. However, the 4-pole, which is supposed to be responsible for the Motronic, is responsible for the fittings. I checked that five times and had neutrals check it out. But it is.

So and now, questions should be exchanged, just questions.

Greetings, Mike who's back among the V8 drivers.

Hallo Mike,

Siehe da.....ruhig wie sonst was.

Gang drin.

Gruß, Mike
