Apparently, my fat guy got hit by the gearbox now. Now put down 182Tkm. Anyway, I have a slight oil loss down from the gear hole or whatever that means. It's gear oil, you can smell it, because it's going on the exhaust. However, if no oil loss could be measured after 1000km, it seems that it is not yet far advanced...
Now I assume that I have to take the gearbox out to replace the shaft seal.
And now the question:
What was I supposed to do when I got the gearbox outside? Oil change is clear, I just made sieve, but are there any more simmerings and seals that you should join in? Can you get the gearbox out well without a special tool (believe you've read something)?
I've been looking, but I haven't really found anything...
