Hi Leute, ein Freund von mir muss bei seinem BMW die Lenkgetriebemanschette tauschen - er hat mich gebeten, seine Anfrage hier kundzutun: "Ich hab in der Reparaturanleitung gesehen, dass man da die Spurstange ausbauen muss. Und da steht, dass man sich die Position wie weit die eingeschraubt war irgendwie markieren soll und sie dann wieder genau so reinschrauben. Ist eh alles logisch, aber kann man das so genau machen, dass man die Spur dann nicht einstellen muss? Odermuss man die Spur …

a friend of mine has to change the steering gear cuff at his BMW - he asked me to make his request here:

"I saw in the repair manual that you had to remove the track rod. And it says that you should somehow mark the position as far as the bolted in was and then screw it in exactly as it is. Is everything logical anyway, but can you do it so precisely that you don't have to adjust the track? Or do you have to have the track adjusted? Are there any other tricks?"
