Differences 3.6l PT manual transmission/automatic

Hello, everybody!
First of all, I would like to introduce myself.My name is Stefan, I am 26 years old, I come from southern Thuringia and since my 18th birthday. I've fallen for the 4 rings *g*
By chance, I have recently found that there are differences between a switch motor and an automatic motor in the 3.6l PT (camshafts, vibration dampers). Now I would be interested for what reason this happened? Thank you very much.
