Hi all,new here.
Brake pedal is "concrete" at first pedal, pumping gets it going.
Master cylinder ?
How do you "push back" the rear caliper pistons,by turning
only, or combo of pressure and turning.
Thanks in advance.

A dead accumulator tank from the break booster is possible too.
Thats it! Turn the caliper piston clockwise.
At Sparepartshops you can find the tool for that.

Hi Emmerich,
it´s like Mario said: A dead brake booster ist a possible matter. But in this case, there should flash (and beep) a warning symbol in your dashboard.
Turn AND press the rear caliper pistons. Most easy with the tool, Mario mentioned but a flat bar iron and pliers is also useful.

Thanks Mario and Tim, just changed the brake pressure
accumulator (bomb) suspecting that was the cause but
with no result, should of mention it of course, sorry.
Had an 87 5000 and had the same trouble, so I was
confident thinking it is the same and went for it.
Something was suspicios when opening the "bomb"
lines, had good remnant pressure on the return line,
but nothing on the" in "from the pump line.
Could it be the pump is acting and supplies no pressure
to the bomb and thus the bomb syndrome?????

Oooops, my reply went to the top, thanks again Mario and Tim
Me again. Noticed the rear was locking up in slow tight turns
an did some reading, realized I did not push the ABS sensors
all the way in after the front wheel bearing change,so I pulled
all out, cleaned and blew all dirt and the symptome is away.
The ABS was comming on at 25+ mph,not anymore .
Replaced all brake pads and went for an extensive test drive
and no "concrete" on the pedal. Before I started the car after
the pad replacements, pumped the brakes aprox 20 times till
the padal got hard,so there was a lot of remnant pressure in
the new "bomb". It will be driven this weekend a lot an let you
all know what happens, best regards, Emmerich
