Somehow my engine is a "Never Ending Story" ...
After I switched both Kats and both knock sensors, my engine had full power for only a short time. The readout of the fault memory resulted, which both tap sensors do not give a signal. So I tried this:
- Delete engine from / ignition to fault memory
- my brother strapped to the passenger seat

- VAG 1551 pressed into your hands
- Engine on... Slowly to go ... Read error memory while driving ... no errors ... Quiet running ... Normal running behaviour
- strongly accelerated ( 3/4 gas ) ... Motor turns quickly up .. accelerates well ... 5000 rpm reached and gone is the power (in the error memory there is now again 1 knock sensor without signal)
- Delete errors... continue driving (gas pedal only pet) everything perfectly (even with senseless gas giving)
- now the version with full throttle: Tempo 50 ... Kickdown... he switches down buttery soft and pushes off RICHITG with force ... Speed close to 6000 (unknown speed, no time to read futility) ... Gearbox wants to switch ... Performance with one time away ! Both tap sensors are now in the memory without signal

The question now is, why do both tap sensors lose their signal?
(both are cracking new! )The effect when they are in the fault memory is clear: MSG does not get a signal, greases the engine for safety, fuel consumption beyond the 18 liters. In the cold condition hardly noticeable since it runs anyway fatter, in the warm condition clearly noticeable ... Hardly any performance.
Who has an explanation for this? Where else should I look? I've already searched the forum... without success. In the RLF, too, nothing has been found about it. Should the MSG be defective?

One thing about the story, however, pleased me ... Leather is a class thing... I was able to wipe off my brother's sweaters without any problems!

Greetings
Dieter
