Smoke

Hello V8 community,
my V8 with its virgin engine (71,000 km) always shows quite clearly when standing at the traffic lights, where the wind blows - from the exhaust pipes comes quite dense smoke.
I found this worrying, so I once kept a clean white paper handkerchief behind it and see: it remains white!
So no smoke.
Water vapor?
How?
If I could alternatively run the slingshots with water, that would be great, but so far I have always filled Super 98. Is there so much water in petrol here in France?
Well, some data on the car:
Petrol consumption at 100 km highway/city: approx. 15 l.
Oil consumption at 1,000 km of highway/city: approx.
Oil consumption at 1,000 km highway (and give it to him!): about 0 l.
Cooling water consumption at 1,000 km of road/city: approx.
Cooling water consumption at 1,000 km highway (and give it to him!): approx.
So, where did it come from?
What does it mean?
Do I have to be afraid of my beautiful engine and my money?
Who can help me?
Oh yes, the other cars of our family do the same thing: VW Golf GT syncro 1.8 98 hp catalyst BJ 1989 165,000 km and Opel Astra Caravan 1.6 75 hp catalyst BJ 1995 92,000 km (and lots of rust and gammel - incredible poor quality, WÜRG!!!)
Thank you and warm greetings,
Konrad

Hi Konrad.

David.

Hi,
also, ganz allgemein, der Wagen macht mächtig Dampf...

Ist also völlig normal. Sichtbarer konsum sozusagen.

Grüße

Sandman

P.S.: Schmeiß den Opel weg!!!

Hi Namensvetter,

volle Enttäuschung - nur ein C-CC GL Bj.87. 2.0, 115 PS Automat; :-))
(Opa Auto - 900,--DM mit 80 tkm gek. 1 Hd.; in 1. Jahr 40 tkm draufgefahren ohne eine einzige Störung!!!!!!!!!!! :-) )

Martin
