buy the parts at your dealer. The price-difference doesn´t make up for the delivery-cost.

The damper and the main screw is available from Audi only. Complete cost approx 350,- - 390,-€. (Belt, damper, 3 rolls, main screw, water pump).

If you wanna keep the prices as low as possible there remains e-bay (but only from good dealers).

Concerning the belt-renewal-timing:
every 90.000 - 120.000 km (depending on the motor), or latest after 5-6 years.

Unfortunately, in rip-off Britain, the dealer wants £512 (almost 800 euros) for these parts which is why I am trying to find a supplier elsewhere, preferably in Germany. Will German Audi dealers supply to UK customers or can anyone recommend a non-dealer who can supply quality parts?

that´s really annoying! I´ll check with my dealer on monday and let you know. If it´s not so urgent I can oder the parts, you pay me and I´ll send immediately with DHL or so (if you trust me enough). The shipment cost for private delivery is approx 9,- to 15,- € plus packaging (approx. 3,- to 4,- €) if you buy at DHL.

- plus packageing and shipment cost
- advance-payment

Is that ok to you? I´ll check the prices and let you know tomorrow.

Thank you for your help. I am also planning to change the oil cooler pipe and seals. I will make a list of all the parts/part numbers I need and send them to you in the next day or two.

Here is a list with parts and prices, unfortunately in german, but I think it is ovious (besides: I was too lazy to translate the stuff.
