Hello.
I've got 4.2 Bj on my A8. 96 the petrol pump changed (pump defective, as during gas operation probably run dry). Got the suction housing back according to Rep. Guide used, bolted on the tank floor, etc. After that, I had about one third of my life. 4 liters of petrol over the tank nozzle tipped in, ignition on and off several times so that the pump sucks something and the car also jumped immediately. Now my tank indicator shows the start of the reserve, but the pump no longer sucks (you hear that the pump is running dry) and the car no longer starts. Do I have to refuel in so that the pump drives the pre-jet pumps in the other tank chambers properly or did I use the thing wrong? I actually felt that everything was right. The long screw also went relatively easily. Anybody got a tip? I don't want to dump tens of liters of gasoline in here, if I have to remove the pump again anyway.
Greetings,
Matthias

Hallo Matthias !!!
Würde die Pumpe nochmal ausbauen. Hört sich so an, als wäre der am Gehäuse seitliche Stutzen nicht richtig drin.
Gruß Olaf
