Who knows how to get the built-in Nokia 6091 wireless phone to transmit faxes from a notebook?
The instructions say that the phone would have a built-in modem. But how do I tell the notebook fax program Win-Fax Pro?
You should connect the notebook with a cable. Supposedly there is a socket in the car for a 10 pin plug. But where exactly? Allegedly slot center console.
On the other side of the cable would have to be a plug that fits into the network connector. Is that right?
What kind of cable does that have to be?
The cable description in the manual no longer fits today's notebook ports.

Ich habe an der Buchse des 6081 ne PCMCIA-Karte angeschlossen die wiederrum im Slot eines Mobilfaxgerätes steckt. Zugriff mit dem Rechner ist auch möglich - Karte in den Rechner stecken. Soweit ich mich errinnere, war die Karte aber treiberseitig nur bis Win 98 unterstützt. Wir reden hier über 9600Baud beim 6080/81! Das mit der Karte gelieferte Kabel ist leider nur 1,2m lang. Ich habe vor, mir ne Verlängerung in den Innenraum zu legen. Mal sehen ob die Signalqualität ausreicht.
Ich persönlich halte die Kombination mit Mobilfax auch für nützlicher. Laptopzugang via Bluetooth-Handy ist doch deutlich komfortabler, und kann im Zusammenspiel mit den Scan-und Druckfunktionen des Mobilfaxes ziemlich alle Variationen eines Mobileoffice abdecken.
