My A8 makes light bitches. Already on the first trip after the purchase I noticed that the on-board computer (BC) did not show anything, except for the usual saying when starting (foot on the brake, etc.) Also the auto check symbols were displayed when pressing on "Check". But otherwise, everything was dark, no BC function, no steps, nothing...
After I had pressed the buttons in despair (including Check key) the display went suddenly again. I've had it three times. However, only if I had previously driven on reserve, so the pump had appeared in the display. After refueling, darkness returned when I had reset the individual values of BC. And this time, the darkness is holding on. What can that be???
Second problem:
This weekend, our A8 locked us out. Woman has a car with Fernbed. open, key placed on passenger seat and short distance from the car. A short time later, the A8 was completed. The story went further, because there was also the door key in it, but the whole thing would lead too far here.
According to what the manual gives, this can actually happen with the automatic locking only if you do NOT open the door after closing. It's been opened! Does the A8 have a malfunction or can I not understand the car or the instructions ?
