I'm still driving a Golf4 V6 with autogas, which I sold almost. Since I definitely want to go back to Audi, I have 1.8T or possibly after an A4 B5/B6. A6 2.8 Watched. Of course, I also inevitably looked at the A6 4.2, which is only possible with car gas and is unfortunately a bit above my planned budget of about 13TEuro. The monthly fixed draw should not exceed the current costs of my V6 significantly.
When discussing in the collapsing circle, we have to speak to the A8/S8. And after a bit of browsing at Mobile.de, I'm pleasantly surprised. I found 2 offers that are eligible. Both already converted to car gas.

Advantage of the A8/S8 would be a relatively low entry price (compared to the A6 4.2) for top equipment (I put value on it) and of course a fine look

However, there are still considerable doubts about this. the reliability of an A8/S8. You can hear horror stories here and there, for example. the frequent transmission damage (one of the above linked has indeed manual circuitry) or mass electronic problems. Remind me of an ebay auction of an A8, which is probably known.
Well, how bad is it really? What experiences do you have? Did you make extra-scheduled repertures on the A8 or better S8?

If I were to be pleased with opinions, I would be still harsh at viewing the forum. So far, relatively little has been done with the A8.
und ich fahr halt den V8 für Arme... nen S8 wär mir dann doch zuviel geworden.. und das nicht nur von den Kosten!
