Engine goes off after the driving stage is inserted

Hello to all V8 drivers,

I just bought a V8 again recently, since it only ended its life in an accident.

Now I have a problem with my V8 and hope you can help me. The engine starts perfectly and also runs, but if I want to insert the driving stage from P to R or D, the engine will go off. I was already in a workshop, but they told me they had to ask for it first.
