I've been reading through this forum for some time and I'm really excited about how much expertise and helpfulness paired with a really good tone of handling prevail here.
Therefore a big praise to all !
Some time ago, I fulfilled a long-awaited wish and bought myself an affordable 97 A8.
Of course, I also have this clacky sound from the front axle and my brakes squeak from time to time, but all in all I am still quite satisfied.
But what annoyed me a bit during our last vacation was the fact that my Navi has displayed ``OFF ROAD`` relatively often and it took me a long time to get a direction again.
Now I was cleverly just trying to get a newer version of the Navi software to solve this problem.
In retrospect, I realized that this is probably not as easy as I had imagined.
The friendly had told me something of about 150 to 200 euros without being able to tell me which version I need now exactly so I wanted to try to buy a CD at the well-known auction house.
I only looked at what kind of CD is in my reader. On the CD is Teleatlas, Germany plus 98-1 and is from Bosch.
Now there are many different offers at the auction house gaaanz at different prices and I just want to make sure that I don't buy something for a lot of money which then doesn't work.
So here's my question!
What kind of software do I need?
I have a very simple Navi with pictogram in the multifunction display and control panel under a flap next to the hand brake lever.
