Summary of the current facts:

My S8, BJ 1997, Motor AKH, 32V:
I'm currently checking to see if the engine will reach it.
To: 250 kW / 340 hp, 410 Nm [Transfer factor: 1 KW = 1.36 hp]

Three test bench runs this year:
(all test benches of the brand Maha, first and last test on the same)
  • ADAC test bench on 13.01.06:
242.5 KW / 329.8 HP (no DIN correction available); 366 Nm

  • Audi test stand on 24.02.06: (possibly incorrect information)
    258.5 KW / 351.6 PS (275KW / 374 PS corrected according to DIN 70020), 410 Nm

  • ADAC test stand on 02.08.06:
    225,5 KW / 306,6 PS (244 KW / 331,8 PS corrected according to DIN 70020); 368 Nm

  • The VAG Com values for torque are 100% in line with the values from the test bench (logged along during test bench on 02.08.06), so they are quite useful.

  • Vag-Com shows up to 368 Nm in normal condition

  • VAG-Com shows up to 410 Nm if the LMM is plugged off

  • VAG-Com also shows 410 Nm with a plugged-off LMM and a plugged-off intake air temperature sensor, although an intake air temperature of 19.5 degrees instead of ~45 degrees was then assumed

  • No change in torques and air masses measured with VAG-Com despite new airmassesMesser (LMM) and new air filter.

I have still delineated the LMM and then looked at the acceleration from 60 to 140 compared to before. Absolutely nothing has changed, neither with nor without LMM, nor with a new air filter. All the same. So I'm starting to think that everything is normal and that's what it's like. 256g air mass maximum. By the way, I also made a measurement with a fixed LMM with respect to air mass, and that was also at about 260g/s - so if that is the replacement value comes all right?!
And with the set-off LMM I have not reached - as yesterday (on 13.08.06) - calculated 410Nm, but only about 380 (see: 360 with the plugged-in LMM) - so perhaps it was due to the intake air temperature. It was normal, between 38 and 50 degrees.

I don't understand which measurement parameters should still have influence, because the intake air temperature measured on 13.08.06 was also at about 38-50 degrees, as it is today (15.08.06).

@Martin E.: Of course, I've already seen your test report - it looks like it. Today (15.08.06) I took care of it again, I notice the torque ingress at 4500 rpm quite clearly.

Hallo Vincent,
