Hello forum! I've got some pictures for you here from my recently completed Car PC project in my S8. It is an 8" touchscreen and an embedded mini-ATX motherboard, 1.5Ghz Pentium M and 120 GB disk space as a notebook disk. The PC sits inside above the shelf that sits left under the steering wheel (sheet is still usable), and the radio has moved upwards over the inside mirror.
With the most sophisticated was the frame of the display, which was handcrafted for about two weeks in five to nine hours a day. From the difficulty immediately after that came the production of a CD changer simulator, so that I have a line input on the original radio (and its suppression...)
Equally exhausting was the conversion of the switches in the centre console to after-face lift buttons, as well as the removal of the storage compartment next to the hand brake for USB, Firewire, Line-In and Gigabit-LAN (the latter is particularly important :-)
And the devil's in the detail, I have a total of about 150-200 hours. ==References==
But it was worth it as I think, I can finally watch movies, navigate on huge cards or take a big music collection with me, and still enjoy the bosesound intoxicated and whistle-free...

Hallo Vincent!

Auto verkaufen? Hab ich nicht vor
