Two-thread pears in the front blinker?

Hi

today wanted to replace a (conspicuously) broken blinker bulb on the front left and to my amazement had to find that the V8 has a 2-blade lamp in there? It was just a contact problem now, but I was already a bit at a loss with my normal replacement turn signal.
I'm just wondering what the point of the 2-blade lamp is... the incandescent is not connected. Is this a tribute to the Ami versions to be able to pair the turn signals with the stable function? And - is it actually allowed to connect the already existing incandescent?

Greetings

Hi Frank;

*malschnelldasforumdurchsuch* ahaaa.......
http://www.audiv8.com/forum/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=v8forum_ger&Number=6770&page=8&view=expanded&sb=5&o=&fpart=all ...... hier wurd es besprochen...

Ciao

Alex
