ASSIST! I want to buy a V8!

I finally found a V8 when I was looking for a V8! But I haven't seen the car yet. I'll be able to watch it at the end of the week. Since I have not yet driven a V8 I ask you all who read this message to help me!
So, the vehicle is supposed to cost 3000 €, it's a 4.2 l engine and EZ is 1992 and has run 240,000 km. He's well-kept and a lot of extras! Like I said, I haven't seen the car yet!
Can someone tell me what I have to pay more attention to or should I buy a V8!?
By the way, what does a V8 with the 4.2l actually consume? I know, I know, if someone buys a 4.2 l dare, should not ask about the consumption, but I would still like to know!
