You think you've bought a vehicle from an experienced and reliable supplier, and then something like that...
My A8, Mod. In 2003 the trunk on the right side (especially at the top of the corner at the rear window) no longer closes properly. Mileage: 28'000km! The whole thing looks like one of them banged in the back and moved the whole trunk cover.
But now I was surprised to find that this problem seems to be well known in the Audi workshop! In any case, the charming young lady came from a multi-page internal document, where the problem was already carefully documented!
- Does anyone know this problem, or
- Did any of you have this problem with your A8?
- Could it be that Audi AG makes it easy again and allows the customer to pay for their problems?
If someone has access to the internal A8 list, I would be very interested!

Also ich selbst hatte im September/Oktober 2005 einen defekt an der Kofferraumschließung in der Form, daß sich der Deckel weder mechanisch noch über die ZV öffnen ließ.
Als ich zur Werkstatt fuhr, hieb der Meister mit der Faust auf den Deckel, wo das Schloß sitzt und er ging auf und konnte repariert werden.
Bei einem Fahrzeug dieser Preisklasse ist das aber schon ziemlich unüblich.
