Hello, guys.
I have a turbo project for my V8 1989
Can you help me with a bisBen?
RS6 Exhaust gas compressor directly fits on 3.6 V8 PT Cylinder head ?????
(In France, EUR 600 X2,)
or is it necessary to buy this special pair of Abgaskrummers to 034 MOTORSPORT in the US ?? 895 euros.

Hello,
For that mopney you can let a handyman make it for you. But another question, why will you convert an original V8? What do you do with the transmission. It will not stand the much higher torque and what the engine itself? It will not stand the much higher torque and power too. Compare a normall V8 with a turbo V8. The turbo V8 has larger bearings, fuel sparys cooling the piston, oil pump with higher output and so on and so on. Do you think that AUDI just do that for fun and you can chnange your V8 without these changes?
Forget it.
I have done a turbo change with a Saab 900 once. I convert a standard Saab 900 with the components of the Saab turbo but still with the original non turbo engine and gearbox. I only have lowered the compression to adapt the turbo pressure. It work perfectly and I am happy. Till one day I gave little too much throtle. The accelaration was wonderfull till I hear some cracking sounds and the car hessitate and finally stops. Gearbox teeth where away and one piston has a hole.
Regards.

Bonjour,

bonne chance....

Not a surprise you broke your gearbox on your 900…. I have a 1989 900T16 convertible, I modify my APC, 9000 injectors, 3.3 bar fuel regulator: no more than 225 HP.
The Gearbox is THE nightmare for the Saabist.
I suppose if you blew your car you had the stock intercooler…. It is a mistake because the stock intercooler is really a beautiful joke on the 900T16.You’d better install a 9000 IC
I dont want too much power at high rpm for my V8, i only want the Mercedes V12 torque at 1500 RPM...
My project for my V8 is to put the CBL or the CGR gearbox I have in my cellar but I would be curious to know exactly how much torque the stock automatik ZF gearbox can stand…
I will lower the compression ratio with a sandwich , to 9.2/1andl install a specific and huge efficient intercooler IN THE FRONT of the car
Zeitronics will help to control the exhaust gas.

EFI034 supplementary Injector Controller will give more fuel ONLY in boost configuration through 8 more injectors, fixed with aluminium welded bungs .

I am not sure the Motronic stock ECU is able to understand what happen with boost , so to avoid lean mixture I think it is a security to have a piggyback system.
I will control boost with a N75 or a APC or similar system , in order to lower the boost at high RPM
My money is 3500 euros for that projekt and i think i will succeed.

CBL and CGR can in short time max .480 Nm
In alltime 420 Nm...
also you need an speciell clutch....

So i will umbau my CBL for my 220V Avant and look for a RS4 gearbox , which is supposed to be OK for the torque and the D11 ?.
