I've just tested a '89s 3.6l with 185000km. I noticed a few things.
Gear changes softly. On position E the gearbox switches up very early and is not to be moved down by giving gas either. On position S the gearbox switches very late and switches back immediately even with light gas giving. Kickdown doesn't work.
In the case of stronger braking, strong acceleration and slight acceleration in slow curves, a strongly dampened "stroke" can be heard.
You can't cruise.
Wind noise when driving faster right rear door.
Otherwise the car is in very good condition, interior almost as new, varnish is ok except slight scratches around the door handles and a small bump in the left fender behind the headlight. Brakes front and rear including new discs, new timing belts.
Buying or not buying is the question here?

Was soll er denn kosten? Das schlagen.. hmm... ist schwer so zu sagen! Wo steht der Wagen denn? Ich könnte Ihn mit Dir mal angucken wenn Du magst, bin auch aus der Stuttgarter Ecke... Das mit der hinteren Tür ist kein Problem (Einstellungssache) und das mit dem Tempomat in der Regel auch nicht. Ein gescheiter Gaszug wäre angebracht (bei den Originalen Brechen die Gehäuse und somit geht der Kick Down Schalter nimmer) kannst mir ja mal ne Email schrieben PeterlingV8@gmx.de
