because the Maik is currently making some changes/improvements, I thought it would be a good opportunity to make some suggestions. One thing in advance: none of this is a "demand" or similar. I know that all this is done on a voluntary basis and in leisure time, so I don't ask for anything. Just ideas!
Here's the thing: I think the CarDB is too full. When you open it, even with a fast Internet connection, it takes a long time for all images to be loaded. There would have to be a multipage distribution and more and other search and sorting options offered. On the other hand, I fear that the CarDB is anything but current. I would suggest that the author of a CarDB entry receive an email after 6-12 months asking if the information is still up to date. To confirm, he only has to register for AudiV8.com once, or click on a link in the mail or similar.
If the author does not register within one month, for example, he will receive another mail that will remind him again and indicate that the CarDB entry will be removed within two weeks. If the author does not report again, the entry will be deactivated. But you might not want to delete it completely, because maybe. it is interesting for a later owner (so he gets the here also "mistaken") of the car to find out the old information. This would ensure that the CarDB is always reasonably up-to-date. The driver database could also be used in a similar way.
I would also like to see greater consistency in terms of users/authors. I mean, when I put my car in the CarDB, it's just "Jens" as the owner. The fact that the forum user is "Jens Freisen", however, can only be determined by a detective sense. I would like to know if the forenuser could make "Jens Freisen" entries in CarDB and driver database, and thus it is always one and the same virtual person within the v8.com site.
Yo, that's it for now!

Ciao,
Jens
