My first thread, it's time. I have been reading here for many months, I have been registered here for a long time and since February I am actually proud owner of a V8.
I've been preparing for the purchase here, so to speak, long before, since I got it, you've really helped me a lot in many things.
I bought a relatively well-preserved specimen, except for the steering gearbox, so far only small things had to be put in order. I saved the larger purchases like tires and exhaust for the end.

And then I thought I was soon, "First of all, at the end of my investments. Wrong thought, yes, I know.
And just at the penultimate point of my list, the tires, there was a small setback. when the tyre dealer wanted to mount the new ones on the rims, he said at the first rim: "Oh, there is a crack on the edge!
Okay, I thought a rim in a bucket, you can hurt. Replacement wheel pulled out and mounted on it.
BUT, the same then at the second and fourth rim!!!!!!

Everywhere the same picture: at the inner rim a crack of approx. 2 cm long. No other damage. The fitter was a bit perplexed and thought that it might be. material fatigue is, but actually not again, or still ??? He wouldn't have had it like that

The standard 8x17-alus of Votex/Audi can be seen as shown in the picture in the appendix. Although it's not mine in the picture, since I haven't taken pictures of my fat yet, it looks the same.
Is it material fatigue? Maybe a production error? Like I said, after the drive to Randstein or similar. Doesn't look like...
Was meint ihr dazu?
Should I go to the dealer, maybe. Chance of replacement?
Greet Marcus.
