Has anyone converted a 3.6L V8 to a 4.2L? What modifications are necessary other than the engine and the ECU? Also does anyone know what the code is for the 6 speed transmission fitted to the 4.2L V8's in europe? I have a 5 speed code 016.

Conversion to 4.2: Forget it.
The question was answered here in the german part some time ago.
There are so much differences that selling the 3.6 and buying a 4.2 is much more convenient and cheaper.

Thank you. My understanding of German is limited but I will read it. The 4.2L with the 6 speed was never sold in the USA. It is expensive to import a vehicle which is not identical to the US models.
