Were there other symptons except blinking CAT- light? I had low power (only few cylinders working?), heavily overheated cat... Seems that no proper ignition and fuel burning in the cat. The car was serviced and they changed the spark plugs, worked for about 40 kms and now the same problem... Problem with catalyst control module or ignition?
