I am rebuilding a later model 4.2ABH. 1993

Checking through the seats operation, the cable harness includes additional connectors, in the door, and at the seat, which appear to be memory module connections.
I have already resolved some mirror issues related to the mirror memory function.

Would these connectors be present even if the car did not originally have memory seats?
Am I able to simply install the switches and control box, or is there more to the system?


Ps. This forum software really doesn't like iPad, does it?

Did you manage to fit the memory function? Wiring might be installed, but there is a memory module under the seat. If youre seat was not originally fitted with memory - there are quite a fiew parts you must retrive.

Afaik virtually all electrically powered seats were also ordered with memory function...

Both sets of seats that I have from 92 & 93 model 4.2 do not have memory modules on the seats.

I haven't done anything to the car in several months now, because it's not come back from the paint shop.

No memory console at the door panels? How weird! All the RHDs we bought were equipped with memory. 90, 92, 93.
