Does anyone know if Audi produced a towbar for the V8? With a dedicated wiring harness? The instrument cluster has a repeater turn indicator in the group of additional lights above the 3 battery/oil gauges.
If so, I'd be interested in details of where and how it's attached, and wired in.

I think they did have a factory option because I have one on my car and went I went to audi to inquire about the plug they said it was a hitch and wiring for a travel trailer from back in the 90's

It was build from Westfalia for Audi,
these are the towbars you can use up to 2100kg.
The cheap aftermarket yo can find at ebay the can only 1400kg
and you hav to cut out a big piece out of the read bumper.
Wiring harnes is not a proble, as far as i know,
you need a lightcontrolbox for towbaruse.

Revisiting an old thread.
Is there any similarity between the westfalia towbar fitted to the 1993 100q and the V8? I'm hoping the towbar currently on my 1993 100q 2.8 will fit.
