Dazu gibt es + 30 HP, also ~300 HP.

Aber besser wird ABT chip fuer 4.2 motor -- 320 PS.

Gibt es noch ABT Chips fuer ABH motor?

Hi Chris,

why don't you head for the english part of the forum? I think it's a bad idea to apply the ECU of a 3,6 PT on a 4,2 ABH engine cause the valve opening times differ and therefor the ignition timings. That's just one problem I can think of, not to mention the different automatic transmission controllers.

Stay away from that!

Bastian

Bastian, Thanks.

I already have the 3.6 ECU and 3.6 ABT chip as well as 3.6 wiring harness installed and the car runs pretty well. It pulls hard in the midrange (3000-5000 RPM) BUT-- it runs rich, and my verbrauch is high, but the power increase is noticible.

My question was whether anyone still has the real ABT chips intended for the ABH engine.

Oh, and I have a 6-gang DQT transmission in my car. I have the only ABH/DQT car in the United States, perhaps the western hemisphere. I think I posted this in the English forum last summer with no real responses.

Danke.

Hi Chris,

true - unfortunately hardly anybody has a closer look on the English forum to care about questions from people not able to speak German. But you have a good alternative: the V8 mailinglist. It's totally in English, and guys like Bastian Homburg are posting there, who really have a clue.

Anyways: What's the DQT? A tiptronic gearbox? Could you post some pictures? That would be great!!

Thanks

Bastian

DQT is a 6-gang Schaltgetriebe from a C5 A6 mit 2.5 TDi. It was imported to the US from Audi/Germany. It came from a disassembled C5 test car. The transmission has < 50k km on it. It has very tall 5th and 6th gears. My 5th gear is taller than many people's 6th gears (i.e., 0.76 or 0.73).

The ratios are 3.50 1.89 1.32 0.87 0.67 0.56. It's the one listed on Charlie Smith's page without a trans code. http://www.elektro.com/~audi/01E/ Just about in the middle.

The engine runs at ~2200 RPM at 80 mph (~120 kmh).

The project thread: http://www.justfourrings.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=885

Anyway, I did post this in the English language board, also.
