Dear Audi V8 fans,
My name is Billy and I live in Switzerland.
I'm writing this post in expectation of reading answers that would help me
to understand what's going wrong with my engine.
My Audi is a A4 based S4 V8 (ABH/4.2l) dated 1994 which runs fantasticaly.
Unfortunately, it makes quite a lot of smoke at the tail pipe when running
off throtle.
Of course, worn valve seals could be the easyest way to explane the
problem but before I get into a huge job in order to replace them, I would
like to hear (from all of you) any other possible reason that would generate such trouble.
For example ;
Is there any deceleration valve that would not work correctly on my engine ?
You know, the kind of valve that would let air in the engine in order to
reduce the nagative pressure under the valve cover while driving down a hill ?
Does someone have ever experienced such problem with his V8 Audi ?
What should I look at first ? (Eventually, a boken hose or anything else .... )
I'm ready to explore any of your suggestion and wish you a very nice day.
I know I'm a newbie but please, HELP ME !
Billy
